A home security system is an investment, and as with any investment it’s important to determine the return you’re likely to receive.
While it can be simple to tally the up-front and monthly costs associated with a security system and alarm monitoring, attaching a price tag to peace of mind is a difficult thing to do, especially if you have children or teens in the house.

Wireless burglar alarm systems are better. A few years ago, wireless systems were still inferior to wired systems because they would give false alarms. However, today wireless systems are easier to install and will also work when the phone lines have been cut.

A trained dispatcher will call your home to verify if you have set the alarm off inadvertently by yourself and will ask for your password. The monitoring station will go through the call list and try to reach a property reference for the premise.

The system has a back-up battery housed in the control panel that will power the security system for several hours.

No, the document you will be signing with us is an agreement. You can cancel at any time. We just ask for you to provide a 60 day notification so you will not be charged a cancellation fee.

To update your Contact List, email us and provide us the information and we will update this with the monitoring station.

Basic Operations

Make sure all doors and windows are closed. Wait for the green ready light (green checkmark) to come on.
Enter your 4 digit access code or press and hold the “stay” or “away” button.

Upon entering your home/business there is an entry delay time (variable but to be kept at a minimum) indicated by a continuous keypad tone.
Enter your 4 digit access code to disarm your system.

Used when you are staying in the home. This feature allows you to arm your perimeter door and window sensors and leaves your motion sensors disarmed.
To activate, press and hold the “stay” button, until you hear the keypad beep.

If a zone is showing “open” and you are not able to arm your system, you can bypass the zone. Press *1 and the two-digit zone number, then #.
For example: to bypass zone 2 one would press *1 02 #
This bypass will be removed when the system is disarmed.

Troublshooting

This is a trouble icon. It is indicating that you may have a problem with your system. A low battery, loss of communication may have occurred.

Do not worry! Enter the code to silence the system then call our monitoring station and let them know it was a false alarm. If you are not able to enter the code, the monitoring station will call the contacts provided until someone is reached for directions.

There is a brief period the system allows for the system to be shut off. The monitoring centre will see this come in as ‘open/close cancel’ and will only note this as a log and not call.

If your alarm is sounding, please call the monitoring station immediately to let them know it is a false alarm.

The yellow trouble light indicates a system problem of some sort. To find out the cause of the trouble light, press *2 on your keypad. One or more zone lights will turn on, indicating the various trouble conditions.
[1] is a system problem, press 1 again for more detail. At this point, 1 means low battery, check/replace it. 2 relates to your siren (did you connect it yet?)
[2] means AC trouble (power failure or transformer is dead)
[3] is a telephone line problem (is the phone line connected yet? If not check the phone connection)
[4] means failure to communicate.. could be a phone line issue or the system could not connect to a monitoring station or self dial attempt failed
[5] or [6] means there is an issue with a zone or sensor or related wiring
[7] means a wireless device has a low battery
[8] means Loss of Time or Date. You need to reprogram the date into the system
**During this time, your panel may also have several beeps every hour, this is due to the trouble. To silent the beep, before we attend the service call, please press *2 then # # # (3 times). This will only temporarily silence the beep, so it’s best to contact us for the service call sooner than later.
